COPAM is certified by different entities for the quality of its products and processes.
ISO 9001 Certification
Scope of certification: The production and marketing of native and modified starches, glucose syrups, glucose syrups – fructose and dextrose monohydrate, including the preserved identity system of corn acquisition that guarantees its conventional origin (non-genetically modified), meets the requirements of NP EN ISO 9001:2015.
COPAM obtained the ISO 9001 Certification for the first time in 1999, by APCER.
This certification recognizes our constant ability to achieve international quality standards and our commitment to customer satisfaction, compliance with applicable requirements and continuous improvement of the system.
FSSC 22000 Certification
Kosher’s Certification
KOSHER’S Certification guarantees that products comply with specific rules regarding the diet of the Jewish community.
The term Kosher means “proper” or “correct” and is applied to refer to foods permitted under the permitted food laws of that religion. The Kosher certification, awarded by the Jewish community of Porto, certifies that the products manufactured by COPAM comply with the specific rules that govern the orthodox Jewish diet.
HALAL certification
COPAM started its certification in the area of food safety with the ISO 22000 food management system standard. Later it adopted the FSSC 22000 standard, a food safety standard of the Global Food Safety Initiative (GFSI). FSSC 22000 is based on the widely recognized ISO 22000, the relevant Prerequisite Program (PRP) and additional requirements defined by the FSSC. The current version of the benchmark is 5.1.
Scope of certification: Production of food starches, packaged in paper bags, Big-bags and in bulk. Production of glucose and glucose-fructose syrups, for the food industry, supplied in bulk and Dextrose Monohydrate packed in paper bags or Big-Bags.
